🚛 What is a DOT physical?
A DOT physical is a medical exam required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to ensure that commercial drivers are physically and mentally fit to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV).
📄 What do I need to bring to my DOT exam?
Please bring:
– A valid driver’s license or government-issued ID
– Glasses, hearing aids, or contacts (if you use them)
– A list of current medications
– CPAP compliance report (if you have sleep apnea)
– Specialist clearance letters (for heart conditions, diabetes, etc.)
⏰ How long does the DOT physical take?
Most exams take 20 to 30 minutes. If everything checks out, you’ll leave with your Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card) the same day.
💲 How much does a DOT physical cost?
Our DOT physicals cost a flat fee of $100.

❌ What can cause me to fail a DOT physical?
You may be disqualified if you have:
– Uncontrolled high blood pressure
– Poor vision or hearing that cannot be corrected
– Uncontrolled diabetes
– Certain heart conditions without medical clearance
– Active drug or alcohol abuse
– Seizure disorders (unless properly treated with clearance)
Many conditions can be cleared with proper documentation from your doctor!

If you don’t pass, don’t worry!
We’ll explain the reason and guide you on what steps you can take (like getting a specialist clearance or rechecking a blood pressure reading).

Yes! Walk-ins are welcome during office hours.
